Mexico to Silicon Valley: My Immigrant Founder Journey in Tech

I grew up in Mexico. I did not come from a tech family. I did not have Silicon Valley connections. I did not have a trust fund or a warm introduction to Sand Hill Road. What I had was an engineering education, an immigrant's work ethic, and a problem I could not ignore. Here is how that combination led me from Mexico to Amazon to founding Blossend Inc.

The journey started with education. I studied computer science with the conviction that technology was the most powerful lever for creating opportunity. My professors in Mexico were rigorous, and the education was excellent, but the career opportunities in Mexican tech were limited compared to what Silicon Valley offered. I set my sights on the US.
